It means the Conference will comprise both an in-person conference and a virtual conference. PHOTONICA 2023 will be held in a virtual format using the online Webex Event platform.

From August 27th on, all PHOTONICA 2023 participants will be provided with Webex links to all seminars happening the next day.

  • Absence of disturbing subjects (noise etc.) while unmuted.
  • If you have audio/video issues, please check your application audio/video settings. Our hosts will be there to help you anytime with all technical issues.
  • By default settings, your audio will be muted. Those who wish to ask questions or to discuss should raise their hand and host will unmute you at the end of the talk.
    To use this feature:

    2. A Raise Hand icon will appear.
    3. Click on the Raise Hand button which will place a small hand icon next to your name in the participant list.
    4. Click on the Lower Hand button to withdraw the request.
  • Feel free to applaud at any time but especially at the end - Webex Event has a "clap" feature within the Feedback.

For presenters:

  • Please, be ready with your presentation slides open on your device when the meeting starts. By clicking the button "Share screen", other participants will see everything that is on your screen. Please share that document while sharing your screen.
  • Unless you have a poor internet connection, please enable your webcam for the full duration of your presentation. Make sure that the room has adequate light, to allow other participants to see your face.
  • Try to minimize background noise during the presentation. Speak directly towards the microphone.
  • State at the beginning of your presentation or write on your slides, if you are not comfortable with screenshots of your slides being publicized on social media for the strict purpose of promoting scientific discussion.
